Start! Program

Start! Is the American Heart Association’s campaign to get America walking! Cardiovascular disease is our nation’s #1 killer and physical inactivity significantly increases the risk of heart disease and stroke, yet 70% of Americans don’t get enough exercise, blaming lack of time and lack of motivation. Through Start!, the AHA is challenging communities and organizations to create a culture of physical activity.

Participation is easy and fun and Start! provides a step-by-step guide to kick off your company’s program. Through Start!, community and corporate leaders can show that they have made health a priority and encourage employees to do the same, resulting in an increase in productivity and improved health.
